The Rawleigh Corridor includes the east end of downtown Freeport
surrounding the Rawleigh Complex. In order to successfully renovate
and reuse the Rawleigh Complex, the Rawleigh Collaboration Team
recognizes the importance of simultaneously promoting reinvestment in
this Corridor.

The Rawleigh Corridor Master Plan prioritizes and guides the
Rawleigh Collaboration Team’s efforts to promote redevelopment and
public improvements in this Corridor, including opportunities for
redevelopment and revitalization along connections to downtown
activity centers.

Phasing: The Rawleigh Corridor Master Plan is organized into
five implementation phases. These first three phases are focused
on reuse of the Rawleigh Complex itself and provision of adequate
parking and “gateway” open spaces on adjacent parcels. The latter
two phases illustrate desired commercial and residential redevelopment
in rest of the Corridor.
